Travis Pastrana wrapped up his 2nd Rally America victory of the year at the Olympus Rally in Washington State. The Subaru Rally Team USA driver set the fastest time on 8 of the 13 stages to easily secure the victory over the Rockstar Energy Mitsubishi EVO X of Antoine L’Estage. Pastrana said, \u201cThis rally was hard from the start. It was definitely the most intense field that we\u2019ve had, unfortunately a lot of guys went out on the first day. It was a really technical course, more so than we expected!\u201d<\/p>\n

\nAntoine L’Estage remains the Rally America points leader with 2nd place finishes in all three events this year, finishing behind Pastrana at 2 events and Ken Block at the 100 Acre Woods. L’Estage was keeping pace with Pastrana until his window fogged over after driving through a water crossing. L’Estage finished the event 1 minute 42 seconds behind Pastrana and over 2 minutes ahead of the 3rd place finisher Dave Mirra.

\nMirra finished 3rd for his first-ever national podium finish in his Subaru Rally Team USA STi. Mirra fought a battle with bacterial meningitis following the 100 Acre Woods Rally, so his finish felt extra special.

Dave Mirra achieved his first-ever national podium finish in his Subaru World Rally Team STi<\/p><\/div>
\nKen Block’s weekend ended early when he suffered gear box failure between stages 4 and 5. The Monster Energy driver was able to achieve a stage best time on stage 2 in his Ford Fiesta. This is the 2nd time this season Block has been forced to retire from a Rally America event. The Monster Energy Ford team had just returned from Turkey, where Block had competed in WRC’s Rally Turkey event.
