Another Throwback Thursday to the forests of the 100 Acre Wood. This time featuring David Higgins and Craig Drew in the Subaru Rally Team (SRTUSA) STi Rally car. Something about this photo emulates rally. Maybe it’s the car slightly sideways, the cloud of dust, the spray of rocks or the sunlit forest road with menacing trees right at the edge. No one can question Ken Block has been a dominating force at Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, winning a record 7 times. Not even a missing fender could slow down this Hoonigan in his Monster Energy World Rally Team Ford Fiesta rally car.

Throwback Thursday! Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb is this weekend, so let’s throw it back to 2011, my only trip to Pike’s Peak. I had an up close and personal encounter with David Kern’s EVO on a hairpin in the gravel section. This was the last year that there were any gravel road sections, immediately after the event they paved the rest of the road.
