Sebastien Loeb cemented his place at the top of the Driver’s standings by securing his 3rd win of the WRC season at the Rally of Turkey. Loeb now has a 40 point lead over Petter Solberg who finished 2nd at Rally of Turkey. Solberg captured his 3rd podium finish of the year. Mikko Hirvonen was looking to make up some ground in the points standing, but had some tough luck picking up a puncture on the morning of the final day. Hirvonen still managed a 3rd place finish, to put him 3rd in the Driver Points Standings.

Kimi Raikkonen captured his best finish of the year picking up a 5th place finish, behind Sebastien Ogier. Dani Sordo had an impressive showing until he slid off on a muddy corner on stage 21 and suffered a broken front suspension which stopped him from finishing the event.

Block hit a rock in exactly the same spot as Henning Solberg, not more then 5 minutes before him early on Day 1, causing a broken suspension for both drivers. Block rejoined competition on Day 2 under Super Rally rules allowing him to get some much needed seat time in his Monster Energy Ford Focus. Block will be sitting out this weekend’s Rally New Zealand and will be rejoining WRC competition at Vodafone Rally de Portugal at the end of the month.
